Board of Directors

The DSA Board is made up of nine directors each serving a three year term. Each year, three seats come up for election. Officers are chosen for a two year term by the board of directors.

David was previously an area detective and is currently part of the crisis negotiations team. Daivd has been on the department for 10 years and is looking forward to his time spent at the DSA as the President. With new ideas and a fresh perspective, he hopes to move the association in a positive direction.
Dustin currently serves as a lieutenant at the Vista Courts, having spent his almost 25 years on the department in both detentions and law enforcement bureaus. He is currently in his second term as a DSA Director.
Marlon works in the Incentive Based Housing Unit at the Vista Detention Facility. Before becoming a director, he served as a station representative and a member of the Political Action Committee.
Before she became the DSA's second full-release director in August 2018, Michele was a corporal at El Cajon Courts. She has been a county employee for 29 years, 23 of those as a deputy. She has served in all three bureaus.
As a 25-year member of the department, Keith Crowl is currently assigned to San Diego Central Jail. He previously served at Las Colinas, Descanso, Southbay, East Mesa, and George Bailey, meaning he has worked in every detentions facility in the county with the exception of Vista.
Carl is a lieutenant at the George Bailey Detention Facility. He has been on the department for over 15 years.
Daniel is currently assigned to the Training Division as an In-Service Deputy. Previously he served on the Special Enforcement Detail. He holds a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Management.
Aaron is currently a Sergeant working at DIS. He previously worked at Weapons Training where he had the opportunity to interact with the membership daily.
Cliff works on the SAFE Task Force at the County Operations Center. He joined the Sheriff's Department in 1999 as a Corrections Deputy. Before becoming a director, Cliff worked various patrol stations including Lemon Gorve, Alpine, Ramona, and Lakeside.

DSA members vote to remain in PORAC; vote against the creation of a Political Issues Committee.
