DSF Scholarships for DSA Dependents

The deadline for 2018 scholarships is April 5, 2019.

LINE OF DUTY SCHOLARSHIPS

The San Diego County Deputy Sheriff’s Foundation  (SDCDSF) has established nine scholarships for children of DSA members.  The scholarships are intended to:

  • Assist a high school graduate who desires to earn a college degree.
  • Recognize a student who has demonstrated academic ability, leadership, moral integrity and initiative.

The DSF will award a total of nine scholarships of $2,000 each.  A one-time payment will be sent to the awardees college of choice and must be paid by the end of the calendar year.

These scholarships are awarded in the memory of the nine SDSO Deputies who have given their lives in the line of duty.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Scholarships will be awarded to children of DSA Class 1 sworn active or retired members. Students must be in their last year of high school and preparing for graduation. The parent must have three or more consecutive years of continuous membership in the DSA on the first day of June preceding the student’s college entrance, and be a member of the association when the scholarship is awarded, or be a retired member in good standing.
